Elastic Rods for Fluid Dance Movements Modeling
Résumé
We present a new abstract representation of choreographic motion that conveys the typical fluidity of modern dances, such as those by Isadora Duncan, better than traditional human-like or skeleton-based representations. Our model is formed by five flexible ribbons joining at the solar plexus and is animated from motion capture data using a optimization-based algorithm.
