The First Chapter of a Regional Deployment of a Continuous Improvement Program in a Medical Device Company

Abstract

This study aims to design a model and framework for LSS Deployment in a global multinational Medical Device company commencing with a regional implementation. The DMAIC problem solving training methodology was utilised to design and deploy a model for LSS deployment by designing Continuous Improvement Leadership and Problem solving training. A strategy for LSS deployment was agreed upon and implemented via a pilot. Several projects were completed, and Leadership was involved in training and coaching programs to prepare them for their roles in CI deployment. This study provides a detailed case study of how one organisation deployed and launched the first steps of a continuous improvement program through leadership involvement and training development across all functions of the organisation regionally.
