An Analysis Between SNS and Social Capital Types in Japan
Abstract
Social capital is expected as a concept to evaluate the potential of autonomous cooperative behavior of a person in a group. We aim to analyze the relationship between individuals and group and their conditions from the viewpoint of social capital and establish an intervention method that leads to well-being in a group of various sizes. We assume that individual’s type of social capital can appear in the behavior on Twitter. We report the results of a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire survey suggested that the types of social capital that are bonding and bridging may cause differences in behavior on Twitter, especially in the types of tweets that respond.
