Abstract

In recent years, the price of electricity in Japan has increased, and then manufacturing industries are required to implement production plan in consideration of the electric power costs. In response to this demand, production scheduling has to be implemented in consideration of several decision criteria such as productivity and electric power costs. In this paper, we propose a production scheduling with satisficing trade-off method in order to maintain productivity and reduce electricity costs, and evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
